Called Remington and spent over an hour on hold. Finally got hold of a nice human being who told me that they might have to replace my pistol. I don't think this conflicts with what they said last time which was that they are "redesigning the bolt". They might have decided to redesign more. There is a strange drought of R51 videos so I suspect something is afoot. Stranger still was that they actually took the R51 to NRA this year. Why? I guess so they could field the thousands of questions about experiences like mine that are largely unanswered... no product advisory and no recall. Hmmmm. Time will tell, I just hope I am alive to see it.
