quitters never win but winners never quit: northern Kentucky stage IV lung & brain cancer battle
Go BIG or go home!
I still run even when I don't want to, when I am so exhausted from my body fighting cancer that I only want to sleep, when my body aches and I have pain, when my head feels like its going to explode from the pressure (but its not really painful), even when I am coughing up my lungs, when I can't see because my vision is so blurry, when I can barely stand up because of balance issues ... I still drag myself into my fitness room and run ..... every .... single ..... day. WHY?
Because I set a goal when I found out that I had lung cancer that I would beat my fastest 5k time, that I made when I was in perfect health, when I didn't have lung cancer. And during this training I also found out I had brain cancer. Its just another obstacle in life. The ONLY thing that will stop me from reaching this goal is if I die before then. Having lung cancer & brain cancer is just two more hurdles I have to jump and overcome. I can still do this, I will reach this goal. Because one thing I am not is a quitter.
Never in the history of quitters have they ever won at anything. I've said it for years and years and years: Failure is never an option! That does not mean I never fail, because sometimes I do. But it means I never give up. If I fail, I simply try again .... and again .... and again .... no matter how many times i fail, I never stop trying. I never give up! If I never give up, I can't fail. I can't die unless I give up. My mind won't let me, I have unfinished business to complete.
Your mindset determines your outcome in every aspect of life. Are you going to take the easy way out and be a quitter or give it your absolute best and be a winner? No matter the task at hand, its a simple choice to make every ... single ... time. You already know the answer before you even start.
