This is how I built my sleeping platform in the bed of my Tacoma. It's easily removable and provides maximum space underneath the platform. Want to build your own? Here are my dimensions:
Base:
I used a 2x10x10 Board and made one cut at 60" for the center support. The middle supports that attach via the door hinges are each 26".
Top:
-Made from plywood.
-Front boards are cut 35.5"X28.5"
-Lower boards(the tricky ones): Mostly 24.5"X28.5. The only exception is at the very end there is the section that is cut in at an angle. The board is cut in on one side to 24.5"X26.5" and the angle of the cut basically meets the section that is cut out to go around the pillars. Doesn't make sense? Rewatch the video lol.
