The Moody Blues album, a Question of Balance, was released 51 years ago this week (released August 7, 1970). Before the release of the album, the band issued the single "Questions", which was recorded "live" (with no overdubs). This is the Moody Blues at their creative best, with Justin banging away on his 12-string as he expresses the thoughts of the anti-war movement in the United States.
To cover this, as a one-man band in COVID isolation, I used recorded the instruments with a live feel, but of course I had to use overdubs. Since I didn't have an acoustic 12-string that I liked for the opening segment, I used Justin's open C tuning on the right channel combined with a Nashville tuning on the left. For the slow section, I used a 12-string on the left and a 6-string on the right. I also included a sample of David Bowie singing "Oh Yeah" a few times throughout the song.
For the video, I made my own Jeopardy! game ... watch the tribute to Sudbury's Alex Trebek at the end (because the Answer must be phrased in a Question).
