Keith Emerson passed away five years ago this week. A huge loss to music. RIP.
I shot the video for this one over a month long period, so I started out without a beard and finished with one! The videos were all shot in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada.
A Greg Lake song, this tune had been around since his King Crimson days (when Fripp decided to nix it from their album). I decided to record it because of the beautiful guitar intro and the haunting sythn outro. Lake wrote the guitar intro after listening to Roundabout by Yes ... and yes, those are the exact same harmonic notes used. What I didn't realize when I started, was just how much fun the bass was!
If any musicians are interested in playing along to this one, let me know and I'll do a mix without guitar, bass and/or vocals.
