The QHY Polemaster Polarscope is what is known as an 'electronic polar scope'. Instead of using your eye, it uses a camera and software to ensure you absoutely nail your polar alignment. The polemaster is a one trick pony, so does it live up to expectation?

I review my QHY Polemaster in this video, sharing my thoughts on an electronic polar scope and alternatives to the Polemaster. Polar alignment is absolutely critical in astrophotography and taking long exposures on equatorial mounts. Whether its a HEQ5 or a humble star tracker. Whether you align to Polaris, or Octantis - polar alignment is an evil we all have to do. So why make it harder?
