When I started to produce videos, I made a promise to myself that I'd stay true to my roots and the vision that I have for my woodland and landscape photography. Sometimes that means I have to sacrifice a short-term commercial win for the sake of a long-term creative aspiration, which essentially means that it's important to take time-out and concentrate on my own growth as a photographer and the fulfilment I need. In this episode I look back on a beautiful morning in a local North Yorkshire woodland when I made the decision to leave the video gear behind and focus my efforts on trying to make the most of the magical but transient conditions. It would have been great to vlog that morning but I'm certain I'd have missed the opportunity to capture some of my favourite photos from that location. I'll keep going back :)
