My first photography trip overseas was to Slovenia and the Triglav National Park. I was invited over to scout with a view to potentially running a workshop there, but it didn't really work out as we'd hoped. We came across a lovely little emerald river carving its way through a diverse and vibrant woodland, so I decided to put a short video together to look back on my short time there and discuss how I photographed the waterfalls. There's a lot more to landscape photography than taking a photograph - it's the combination of many ingredients that inspires, motivates and makes it a true experience of nature. Slovenia was great, but it also reinforced my belief that I'm very fortunate to have all the ingredients I need for meaningful photography on my doorstep.
