Ukraine has been relentlessly targeting Russia’s oil refineries and key infrastructure with Russians impacted at the pump with fuel shortages in most regions of Russia.
At least 10 oil refineries were forced to halt operations in June and July and Ukraine has also target vessels on key trade routes and warehouses of Russia's top e-commerce retailer, Wildberries.
President Putin has reassured the public that the fuel shortages are 'temporary' and the economy is 'stable'. But the country, known for its cheap domestic fuel, has been forced to import from India as well as Belarus
