Andy Burnham has become the UK's new Prime Minister, taking over from Keir Starmer in what has been a 'coronation' after no other challengers came forward.
As the UK's fourth prime minister in five years, Burnham has offered few details about how he plans to tackle the country's key policy challenges but said he will set out a ten year plan later this year.
Mark Littlewood, Director of Popular Conservatism, tells Roundtable that ‘people are superimposing onto Andy Burnham their ideal prime minister.’
He adds that Burnham will have to make some major decisions, and that it's extremely difficult to define what his political ideology actually is.
