Welcome to my 687th solo guitar arrangement video on YouTube, “Put It Where You Want It” by The Crusaders. I wasn't aware of this tune till the early 90's when I played it with a band at the old Bird of Paradise jazz club in Ann Arbor, led by keyboard player Gene Jones (if you see this, this is for you!). Amazingly, we had a regular gig there playing happy hour early Friday evenings before the heavy hitters came in. And I mean heavy, some of the biggest names we all knew at the time and still remember now. Why this tune today? No reason, I just heard it the other day and it was easy enough to quickly knock out. On a technical note, I may have over-applied compression, I have been frustrated at the fact that the audio volume of my videos has been lowered by YouTube even though they play great at home. To try to fix this and get close to the holy grail of 14 LUFS, I am experimenting with compression and limiters, but I'm not sure I like it.
