The are of making and fishing these tiny roods is something to see and experience. Just looking at the detail and knowing what it takes to make them, what's involved and the thought that goes into each kit is really something. As a kid we would fish Ultra lite with size 14 hooks and 2lb line and had a blast. With a old Kencor SP3 and a Sigma 035 reel, spooled with 2lb line, I took a 12 lb carp! It was a 20 plus minute fight but so much fun.
I have caught big fish of all species but that carp, that fight, will always bring me more joy in thought than all the rest. That drag was SCREAMING! Now, to fish even smaller gear, is a blast and I plan to push the limits and see what can be caught and landed with these beauties.
