I know, the Saturn fans are going to yell at me for this one (heck, they already did). You can't put this game in this series BBH, I've heard of it because of the Saturn version!!!!!
....well, if you weren't someone importing Saturn games, you probably never saw this in an arcade unless you were in Japan, so there. And all things considered, I kinda slept on this game a up until a few years ago when I finally discovered that it was actually a pretty cool shmup. I guess that's on me!

When this Genesis shmup came out ~35 years ago, I got baited by all the good reviews the game got in magazines, saying it was the most amazing game ever. I ended up renting it, and... I didnt even get past stage 2. It was more difficult than I expected, and having to do those checkpoints over and over without any sense of progress was incredibly frustrating. It was a wasted rental for me.
But I certainly feel like Im better at shmups now than I was 35 years ago! Am I up to the Gaiares (Guy-Are-Us) challenge?!
