The sequel to this comes up a lot when people are looking for easy shmup 1CC's, but how about the original game? Why doesn't this game get played as much? Well, it could be because this game is kinda bullshit in how perfectly you have to play, lol. By default your ship speed is waaaay too slow and you don't have the little power-up pod to aim around you, which the whole game is based around. Die at the wrong time and you're going to chain deaths over and over before you can get back into the groove. It's infuriating.
There are only 5 stages, with stage 2 being incredibly short, and every other stage being much longer and having two bosses in each stage. Most of the bosses are pretty manageable when you have their patterns figured out, although the 2nd boss is so random he stole some lives in other attempts. I also had a lot of trouble with the 4th boss, but thankfully pulled through on this attempt. The last boss is a joke in comparison as long as you have one-speed up and the weapon pod. (weapon pods will spawn during bosses if you don't have one, btw)
I could have sworn I did an Arcade Labbin' stream of this game that ended with me getting fed up with it, but now I can't find it... did I forget to export that VOD to youtube or something? Is it lost media now???
Full VOD, including the rest of the RetroAchievements for the game - youtu.be/4gONMoXUzNQ
