This Purple Sandpiper in first winter plumage was on our Toronto Christmas Bird Count route. It was in the same location as the Purple on last year's Christmas Bird Count. It hatched this past summer and migrated without its parents telling it where to go, so how did it know to come to the same spot? Found by Amanda Guercio at Peninsula B, Tommy Thompson Park in Toronto on 20 December 2020.
