Experience the hypnotic sounds of Imarhan, the acclaimed Algerian band bringing the soul of the Sahara to the 2 Meter Sessions studio. Rooted in the rich Tuareg music tradition of Tamanrasset, Imarhan builds on âAssoufâ (desert blues), adding modern arrangements and rock-influenced energy to their distinctive Saharan sound.
Following in the footsteps of Tinariwen, Imarhan bridges the gap between ancient desert culture and contemporary life. In this exclusive session, recorded in 2026 for the Dutch TV show 2 Meter Sessies, the band performs tracks from their latest repertoire, including songs reflecting on their home studio Aboogi and their album Aboogi (Essam).

The Prodigal Sons, led by singer and guitarist Erwin Nyhoff, were one of the most notable Dutch rock bands of the early 1990s. Known for their energetic blend of rock, blues and roots influences, the band gained national recognition with their song âYou Still Thinkâ.
For this 2 Meter Sessies recording, The Prodigal Sons performed three songs in the studio: the bandâs own work âYou Still Thinkâ and âJimiâ, alongside their version of âPolk Salad Annieâ.
