Illustrating some of the many reasons why pugs are among the best dogs ever thought up by a back-woods genetics laboratory janitor.

I don't do top-five lists. Instead, I'd rather provide the information as it comes, because trying to rank justifications for something tends to invalidate some that could be equally important. For that reason, while there won't be any numbers, I can assure you I make several points that are at least worth considering.
Pugs are the little dishevelled mediator between people and their inescapable self-loathing. They keep you in check by taking whatever ugly is left over and implanting it directly into their miniature faces. Then, they look at you. Screaming.
Always screaming.
Now, I mentioned Irish Wolfhounds as a top 5 breed as well, and that's just as legitimate; I like anything that doesn't have to try to look like a werewolf because it just does by nature. I'm more of a fan of large dogs in general, such as Huskies and Bull Mastiffs. I've noticed that, the larger a dog is, the more regal it tends to look (St. Bernards notwithstanding...just look at them). As well, larger dogs require less exercise and metabolize well, probably since all that energy is spread out over such a massive area.
Digression into canine preference aside, I didn't break any barriers here; just sharing my opinion in a sea of others doing the same. Don't take much of what I say seriously, but maybe if you haven't before, contemplate the value of having a terribly ugly magnet of affection around you constantly. Might be worth it.
I tried to make the video as comedic as I could.
