After an outage which knocked almost all PSN features offline, the service is seemingly beginning to recover.
It looks like Amazon Web Services – which powers a lot of the PSN – had a hiccup earlier today, resulting in widespread issues around the world.
I’ll continue to monitor the situation, but AWS has acknowledged the issues, and has said services are slowly returning to normal. To our Tōkon Warriors,
We're aware that some PlayStation players are experiencing login and network issues. Our team is actively investigating the problem and working to identify the cause. We'll share updates as soon as we have more information.

While your mileage may vary, I’m able to see my friends list again, but features like the PS Store still seem broken on my end.
Sony has yet to acknowledge any issues on its service page. PlayStation Network is down again for millions of users, and people can’t play their license-purchased games.
Players around the world are reporting they can’t sign in, play online, access the PlayStation Store, or use other PSN features.
This is the future PlayStation is pushing: once servers are down or have problems, all your games will be useless.
