Imagination is a very powerful and useful tool for any meditator. By learning to harness our natural ability to imagine, we can have deeper and more meaningful meditations.

Imagination is used to create a real experience of any feeling or quality we choose. Once the experience becomes established within us, we can then let go of our imagination and begin to immerse ourselves deeply within the chosen feeling with calm concentration (meditation).

We must always balance the active phase (imagination) with the receptive and absorptive phase (meditation).
