Long-time FLOW-3D CAST customer Project Engineering GmbH optimized the casting system of an oil pan cover while reducing costs for their end customer. With FLOW-3D CAST, the runner, ingate and venting systems have been optimized for both efficiency and quality. This video shows the entrained air rate comparison between the base design and the final proposal. First phase of filling was shortened, splashes were reduced, and air evacuation was improved.
