Inorganic core binders decompose during molten flow of steel into a mold, thereby blowing into casting and print vents. It is crucial to know if they are blowing into the casting to quantify the timing, location and amount of gas blow. Shown here is a simulation of core gas pressure and potential regions of higher pressure where core gas would blow into the steel casting.
