This is my November 2025 Progress Report - where I tell you how it's going with my fountain pens and inks as well as give a mini update on how life in general is going!
I've got 7 fountain pens inked right now - had 2 failures which I labeled as incomplete and will be cleaning out today.
Here's a list of the pens and inks talked about:
1. Pilot Vanishing Point M Gunmetal + Rhodium with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo.
2. Jinhao 100 Turquoise B JoWo with Lamy Turquoise
3. Online Campus Fluffy Cats M with SBRE Brown
4. TWSBI Eco Clear B with Montblanc Psychedelic Purple
5. TWSBI Eco Irish Green and Onyx with Robert Oster River of Fire
6. Pelikan Pelikano Junior A with blue cartridge (likely it's Diamine Oxford Blue I'm not sure)
7. Pilot Petite 1 Black M with a Pilot P1 Cartridge (will be cleaning these after finishing and reusing them forever since the pen is no longer being made)
Off topic conversation included:
* Music (showed where I hung my guitar for quick access in my library/music room) and talked about how music in general AND learning guitar has been a great help to me. I forgot to mention the singer who I am listening to most right now is: Jesse Wells a young resistance singer/song writer/guitar player .... this has also put me down the rabbit hole of revisiting Bob Dylan's music and I found there was a 2024 movie about Dylan which I missed called: A Complete Unknown ... wow that was amazing what a movie! Sorry I forgot to mention that in my video!
* Pens that made the Levenger Pen Box (Varsity Writing Team)
* Pen Pal Letters and journaling have been my main emphasis this month
* Finger healing from Trigger Finger (I'm at 8 weeks and doing much better - at least 80% recovered)
* My friend artist Rachel is releasing her Creativity card deck today and I'm eager to purchase my set: you can find her on Instagram: instagram.com/rachelpaynecreative
* Our weather -- wow it has been "no heat, no cool" and Chamber of Commerce weather here lately although still too dry.
Well, it was quite a ramble but this is "where I'm at" with the hobby and with life and more to come as I am planning to discuss (soon) on a video my quest to shift the channel for the new year - don't worry I plan to be here on You Tube as long as it's possible ... but I want to increase certain content and move toward less in some other areas. I'll film that video soon.

Oh, I didn't talk too much about my guitar playing but that is very much a big joy in my life right now -- although I am not quick to learn it I enjoy every minute with the instrument and learning notes and chords. I may get some real lessons in January -- in the mean time there are so many great tutorials on You Tube!!!!!
