I got some $.99 battery powered LED lights at a CVS the other day. For $.99, you can't complain, but all they do is blink and go steady, and I thought some cross fading would be better. I also thought that pumping a bit more current through them would make them brighter (at the expense of some battery life) so I decided to make a little ATtiny13 program to control them, and then mount all of them in my Christmas hat. Here's the software working, along with mode switching. Just a progress report.

Oh, and wear a Santa hat!
