Zarina is a refugee from Afghanistan who now calls St. Louis home. Once a teacher, she wants to return to her profession, but barriers like not having a drivers license in this city have prevented her from working. Now Zarina is participating in a program through Welcome Neighbor STL and Archway Refugee Connection that helps Afghan women learn to drive and therefore access more opportunities in our city.
