lovely listeners...as we enter the beginning of june (& summer!), i wanted to take a moment to reflect on the month we're leaving behind. may is very close to my heart because it is the month where we shine an extra bright light on mental health in order to spread awareness & support those who are struggling. in honor of mental health awareness month, i released "all of me," a song that advocates for eating disorder recovery, & i had the pleasure of joining the "two tape decks" podcast for an honest discussion about the song & mental health in general. as most of you know, one of my main missions as an artist is to give mental health a voice. i'm so grateful to the podcast's hosts, sam wade & jay mac, for providing a safe & encouraging space to do just that. i hope so much that my vulnerability will help you to feel a little bit less alone if you are struggling. xo, r.

lovely listeners...even though i didn’t write these lyrics (this track is originally by alessia cara), they truly hold so much meaning for me. the struggles expressed are struggles that i’ve known all too well, especially having grown up here in los angeles where outer appearance is often valued far more than it should be. honestly, the message in the lyrics is a beautiful one, but it’s difficult for me to absorb much of the time. however, as the song also says, “there’s a hope that’s waiting for you in the dark.” i interpret this to mean that there’s always hope, no matter how long the struggle is, & i will continue to hold on to that. i hope you will, too. xo, r
