Ketzler's Schniztel Haus, Granbury (2015)
Owner Angelika named this place after her father, whose lifelong dream was to retire in the United States and open a restaurant. That dream became Ketzler's Schnitzel Haus and Biergarten, and it's turned a corner of the Historic Granbury Square into a proper slice of Germany.
Order the schnitzel, get a giant soft pretzel to share, and wash it down with one of their authentic German beers or wines. Grab a table in the outdoor beer garden if the weather cooperates, and you might catch live music from local performers while you eat.
It's the last place you'd expect to find in a small North Texas town, and that's exactly what makes it worth the stop. Prost.
