Somehow I missed the piercing valve someone left on the system when I went to look at it the first time. There was barely any gas in the system, but I did what I could get to get it recovered and probably got some air in the recovery tank along the way. Oh well, it's not like the burnout contaminated refrigerant in there already will really care.
I didn't get any footage of the recovery because I had to schlep the machine across that building and back again since I didn't bring enough extension cord. As you might imagine, this was tedious enough that I didn't much feel like having the camera on.
I also wandered over to take a look at a partially dismantled packaged unit at a nearby building and discovered that it was a complete wreck. I wonder what happened to it?
