This is how I prep my ground beef to get it precooked and DRAINED of fat. For busy nights, I just pull a container out of the freezer and make a quick pasta dinner or beef and vegetable stir fry.

Meat cooks at approx 6 mins per pound. I do 4 lbs at a time. Place beef in the colander of the stack cooker. Place that on the 3 qt casserole and cover. Cook for 10 mins. Mix meat and cook for 10 more.

Allow meat to rest for about 5 mins as it will continue to cook. But do stir it some more to get the gristle to drain down.

Place the cooked beef in the power chef (comes in ALL kits for new recruits). And pull the string to desired texture. This can make the meat super fine for taco meat.

Store in freezer mates. The containers seen here are called freeze it's and no longer made. The new freezer mates are BETTER and prettier.

Our freezer containers are designed to pull frost away from foods. Flexible to help promote release of frozen contents. Tapered to allow easy release of frozen liquids. Modular to maximize space in freezers and have "feet" to allow proper air circulation around the container for fast freezing!
