In this video, we are looking at a long offering appeal from Vincent Campbell that, in my opinion, is filled with pressure, emotional manipulation, and the kind of begging that has become far too common in many church services.

The offering moment should never feel like a sales pitch, a guilt trip, or a spiritual threat. Giving is biblical, but biblical giving is supposed to be done willingly, cheerfully, and without compulsion. When a preacher drags an offering out, keeps pushing people for money, and uses spiritual language to make people feel like they are missing God if they do not give, that is a serious problem.
What makes this so troubling is how often these offering appeals are framed as if God’s blessing is locked behind a specific seed amount. People are told to stretch, sacrifice, obey, move quickly, and “trust God,” but many times the pressure is not really about trusting God. It is about getting people to respond in the moment before they have time to think.
We have to ask serious questions:
Is this biblical giving, or is this manipulation?
Is this generosity, or is this pressure?
Is this worship, or is this fundraising disguised as prophecy?
Are people being shepherded, or are they being worked over emotionally?
The Bible teaches that God loves a cheerful giver, not a coerced giver. The New Testament does not command pastors to pressure the poor, the struggling, or the vulnerable into giving money they may not even have. It does not teach that a preacher should beg, stretch the offering for an unreasonable amount of time, or make people feel spiritually inferior because they did not sow into a specific moment.
This is why discernment matters. Not every emotional appeal is the Holy Spirit. Not every “seed” is biblical. Not every request for money is manipulation, but when the offering becomes the focus, when the pressure becomes obvious, and when people are made to feel like their breakthrough depends on giving into the preacher’s appeal, we need to call it out.
This video is not about attacking giving. Christians should be generous. Churches need resources. Ministry costs money. But there is a massive difference between biblical generosity and pulpit manipulation.
We are going to examine what was said, how it was said, and why these tactics should concern anyone who cares about sound doctrine, healthy churches, and protecting people from spiritual abuse.
