Kenneth Copeland has spent decades teaching that believers can walk in divine health, resist sickness through faith, and live above disease through the power of their words and covenant promises. But now, as Copeland appears to be dealing with sickness himself, there is a major problem that cannot simply be ignored.

The issue is not that Kenneth Copeland got sick. Christians get sick. Faithful believers get sick. Pastors get sick. Even people who genuinely trust God can experience disease, weakness, aging, and physical suffering.
The real problem is what happens when a preacher has spent years creating a theology that makes sickness sound like something believers should be able to overcome if they simply have enough faith, speak the right words, stand on the right promises, or refuse to accept the diagnosis.
If sickness happens to ordinary Christians, are they lacking faith? Did they speak negatively? Did they fail to understand their covenant rights? And if those explanations are unfair when applied to Kenneth Copeland, then why have they been acceptable when applied to everyone else?
In this video, we examine the inconsistency behind Word of Faith healing theology and why Kenneth Copeland’s own health struggles raise important questions about teachings he has promoted for decades.
This is not about mocking an elderly man for being sick. Nobody should celebrate another person’s illness. The point is theological accountability.
The Bible never promises Christians immunity from sickness in this present life. Paul experienced bodily weakness. Timothy had recurring stomach problems. Trophimus was left sick. Epaphroditus became seriously ill and nearly died. Even faithful believers continue living in bodies awaiting final redemption.
Our ultimate hope is not that Christians will never become sick. Our hope is that Christ has conquered death and that one day every believer will experience complete bodily redemption in the resurrection.
So when reality confronts prosperity and Word of Faith theology, we should not manipulate the facts to protect the preacher. We should reconsider the doctrine.
