Jesse Duplantis has made some wild statements over the years, but this one gets to the heart of a major problem within Word of Faith theology: the idea that the words coming out of a believer’s mouth can carry the same kind of authority and power as the Word of God.

In this video, we examine Jesse Duplantis’ teaching and the dangerous line that gets crossed when a preacher begins treating his own declarations as though they carry the same weight as what God Himself has spoken.
There is an enormous difference between **speaking God’s Word** and believing **your words function like God’s Word**.
God can speak things into existence because He is God. Genesis does not say God discovered a spiritual law of confession that humans can also master. Creation responds to His voice because He is the sovereign Creator. When God says something, His Word carries absolute authority because of who He is.
We don't possess that same authority.
Christians are commanded to believe God, proclaim the gospel, pray according to His will, confess the truth, and speak in ways that honor Christ. But nowhere does Scripture teach that our personal declarations automatically carry the creative authority of God's own speech.
This is where Word of Faith theology can become extremely dangerous. Instead of faith being trust in what **God has said**, faith slowly becomes confidence in the power of **what we say**.
And once a preacher starts blurring that distinction, we have a serious theological problem.
Isaiah 55:11 says GOD'S Word will accomplish what HE purposes. Hebrews 4:12 describes GOD'S Word as living and active. Scripture never transfers those divine attributes to every declaration that comes out of a Christian's mouth.
Jesse Duplantis may believe he is teaching believers to understand their authority, but biblical authority never makes the creature equal to the Creator.
Our words must submit to God's Word.
Our declarations must submit to God's will.
And our theology must never elevate human speech to the level of divine revelation.
In this video, we're going to listen carefully to what Jesse Duplantis actually says, compare it with Scripture, and explain why saying that our words carry the same weight as God's Word crosses a serious theological line.
