You should start practicing making fire with coal extenders and weak ignition sources. Some of the good coal extenders are Ashed Tinder, Punk Wood, Fungi, Pithes, Mullein Leaves, etc.
Some of the weak ignition sources are solar ignitions with bottles, bulbs, reading glasses, plastic wrap solar lens, tablespoon, polished can bottom, wallet fresnel lens, etc. other good weak ignitors are empty BIC, small fire rolls, flashlight mirrors, sometimes flint and steel.
