I have accidentally melted sardine cans, drink cans, and aluminum foil in hobo stove fires before. Keeping in mind that Aluminum melts at 1220 degrees, I want to use a Vienna Sausage can to cook up some denim char cloth. To keep the can from melting, I'll compact the wood coals, set the can atop, and make sure no breezes make it to the coals. If we are successful, we’ll try out the char cloth with flint and steel.
