These DIY Concrete Lamps were made by pouring homemade concrete colored with pigments into plastic bottles and other trash. Plastic leaves concrete with a smooth finish. This method of using plastic bottles and milk cartons to shape concrete is cost effective and can be used to make all sorts of colored concrete objects and furniture.
This is a concrete craft project that sells well and I have sold these at design and craft fairs for $120 each.
I make my own concrete mix by combining 4 parts of sand to 1 part of white Portland cement. Grey Portland cement also works but I like white to give me more color options.
This is the white Portland cement I use. I suggest calling different masonry yards to see if they have it.
