This DIY Sofa transforms into a bed and is way more comfortable than most convertible sofas since the design is based around a Tuft & Needle TwinXL mattress. The padded backrest is completely DIYed and doesn’t require any sewing. This entire DIY Sofa Bed was made from 3 sheets of ¾” plywood, some 3/8” bolts, finish screws, ¾” EMT conduit and 3-1/2” pool noodles.
I used the linen sheet set also from Tuft & Needle in slate as the sofa cover.
