PLEASE READ: (lyrics below)- This is without a doubt one of the best love song duets- ever. I have long wanted to do this to the PotO movie, but I had an idea in mind and had to wait until everything was finished. ;-) This is sort of loosely based on my PotO phanphic series - The Quest, The Treasure, and The Claim - follows the same sort of idea. The symbolism is pretty self explanatory and the clips follow lyrics. Story: Christine is troubled that the masked man she has fallen in love with is wanted by the law, a murderer due to his deep scars, both hidden and on his flesh, and is reputed to be dangerous. But this isn't the man she knows...and loves. He pretended to be her angel, but she saw through Erik's disguise as she grew into a woman and things didn't make sense. Now, she cannot deny her heart, and she continues to secretly meet with him in the nights. She tries to convince him not to lash out anymore, not to run, and to stand up for the light- and the glory they can have. A life together. He sings to her that there is more than just a monster behind the mask and through it all, their love can prevail. Drawn to her tender heart, Erik has long been in love with Christine and knows he cannot live without her, both of them singing to one another of their deep love and passion that is theirs to share. He proposes, they marry, and for a time life is bliss, her love redeeming him. She is his angel, a guiding influence, often persuading him to leave his anger at the world and his vengeance behind - but he is almost caught, and in being with Christine and running for his life, he puts her in a danger he never meant to. Again hidden from those who would kill him, he sadly releases Christine telling her he is a wanted man and this is no life for her, that she would be better off without him. Also crying, she tells him what's in her heart and refuses to leave his side. She takes her ring back, putting it on her finger. They flee Paris to Spain- and the rest of video shows what their life became. :) manips are all my creation - (the new one I'll add to deviantArt soon. For this video, it is supposed to signify a portrait that Erik painted). The painting of Christine sitting on Erik's lap in the chapel -- that wonderful piece of collector's art is called "Imagine" and was painted by Thomas Jonas.
