This is simple student activity to investigate the change of potential energy into kinetic energy. After a ball rolls down a ramp it gets caught by a simple catch cup and pushes for distance, eventually losing it's energy due to friction. The more energy the ball has, the further it will push the cup. A few variables are shown for further student investigation.
