Setting the benchmark for the sports car segment and presenting itself as an unquestionable pioneer for the world of automotive, the Porsche 911 is very well-received car that has always meant business. Designed with a driver-focussed formula so fantastic, every other manufacturer all over the world emulates the nature of all that is great with this epic machine. It’s a widely followed car that has a relationship with just about everybody in one way or another.
The first 911 was released to the world in 1963 at the Frankfurt international motor show and was an instant success. It ignited fans’ excitement everywhere, and every variant and generation that followed continued to do so. In 2013, the Porsche 911 turned 50 years old and to mark its birthday, Porsche presented the world with the epic ‘50th Anniversary Edition’.
With just 1,963 models made to mark the milestone, the special edition gets an iconic flat-six rear-mounted engine, active sport suspension and rear wheel drive – largely based on a Carrera S. However, equipped with a widebody that’s usually reserved for the 4 wheel drive models, and a slightly tweaked version of the 3.8L engine that pumps out 400hp in this instance, it also has a host of special features.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this 2014 (14) car that has covered 15,500 miles from new and has a full complement of Porsche Service History. It is a simply stunning example of the limited run car and gets optional highlights such as the 18-Way Adjustable Seats, Electric Tilt & Slide Sunroof and Power Steering plus too.
On the outside, gets a finish of Graphite Grey paintwork, contrasted by limited edition 20” alloy wheels that are a tribute to the legendary “Fuchs” wheels – finished in a matte black paintwork with machine polished centres. Chrome trim embellishes the front air inlets, fins of the engine compartment grille and the panel between the rear lights and engine compartment grille, to clearly distinguish this stunning special edition. You’ll also notice a 50th birthday badge at the rear too.
Inside is a similar affair and is finished in an exquisite combination of colours that hark back to the original Porsche 911 from the 1960s. The inserts of the seats are reminiscent of the “Pepita” tartan design that featured on the original car, and you’ll also notice Green labelling on the speedo with white needles too. Black Leather fills the outside of the 18-way adjustable seats and you’ll also notice a wash of 50th Anniversary badges dotted around the cabin.
Car number 1538 of the 1963 models created is a truly wonderful example of an iconic and appreciating Porsche. We believe it to be one of the best available and welcome any questions you may have on the car.
