This is the 1st Pomegranate fruit I harvested off of the small trees I planted last year. This Elche variety was about 500mm tall when planted, approximately 1-2 years old, currently 2-3 years old now and 2meters tall. I will be espaliering the pomegranate trees in line together very soon, so stay tuned and subscribe for that video.
Fruit tasted amazing, definitely more flavoursome and sweeter then the supermarket kind. Had a little issue with a bug or bird bite when it was very young, however it did not effect the rest of the fruit.
Such an easy growing fruit tree, with minimal fuss. Did suffer a little leaf curl, to which I just pruned off most of the effected young leaves. Trees all exploded in growth during 2nd half of summer.
