I built a 2 tiered raised garden bed, 1 bed on the ground with the other sitting on the ledge of the ground bed being held up by timber posts. Do you have a bad back? If so, this is exactly the kind of garden bed you should be using. Fairly easy construction, anyone with basic tools should be able to build one.
I'll upload a part 2 shortly where I drill drainage holes, attach plastic liner, paint everything and final screws to hold structure together.
Materials: 3m length timber garden sleepers
- Screws
- Saw (I use a mitre saw)
- Timber post (for legs)
- Black Paint
- Plastic Liner
Total cost of everything was around 200$.
