The gap is widening between the candidates for U.S. Senate in Maryland. A new poll released Wednesday from the Institute of Politics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, shows Democratic nominee Angela Alsobrooks with a growing lead over Republican nominee Larry Hogan. The poll, which was conducted the week of Sept. 23, included responses from 1,003 adults in Maryland. For the Senate race, respondents were asked, "If the election were held today, who would get your vote?" The poll found 48% of respondents said they would vote for Alsobrooks, compared to 39% who said they would vote for Hogan.
