Grants Pass TV Repair | Polarizing Filters From LCD TVs @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 6 months ago | Updated 3 hours ago
In this video I demonstrate some of the interesting effects you can produce with LCD displays and polarizing filters which I salvaged from some broken LCD Displays. Since light is believed to have two polarities, this video demonstrates how one of the two polarities can be blocked, and how the liquid crystal can be manipulated to allow light to pass through it. If you attempt to remove the thin polarizing filter from the glass as I have done, it requires a good single edge razor blade to remove the filter from the glass, and a lot of patience and some heat to soften the bonding glue that holds the display sections together.
