After a while of traveling, Brendan has finally reached Rustboro City, a large city in Hoenn, which is home to the Devon Corporation, a Trainers' School, and the Rustboro Gym. Remembering his father's words, Brendan challenges the Gym, aiming to collect his first Badge.
Roxanne, the Rock-Loving Honors Student:
This Trainer appears to have studied at the Trainers' School, which is how she came to be Gym Leader of the city. Using her knowledge, she aims to demonstrate her prowess of Rock-type Pokémon in battle.
Geodude:
Roxanne, like the other Trainers in the Gym, uses a Geodude as one of her battling Pokémon. This one knows Tackle, Defense Curl, Rock Throw, and Rock Tomb.
Aron:
This sturdy-looking Pokémon is part Steel-type, which gives it coverage against Grass-type moves. It can use Tackle, Harden, Rock Tomb, and Headbutt.
Nosepass:
Roxanne's ace in the hole is the Compass Pokémon, Nosepass. In this tough spot, it starts off by using Block to prevent its opponent from switching out before using Rock Tomb to lay down serious pressure, along with Harden and Tackle.
