Brendan has arrived at Fortree City, the site of the next Gym. However, he cannot go inside of it yet, as there appears to be an invisible obstacle blocking the path. With no other options, the boy decides to travel to the next major route, where he encounters Steven. The traveling Trainer appears to be faced with a similar situation, and takes out a strange device, which he uses to reveal the obstacle before him... A Pokémon called Kecleon! After Brendan battles it, Steven gives him the device he used, believing it will help him in the future.
