This is the fourth Tera Raid Event, and the last one out of the four that we got, and the featured Pokémon for this one is Kingambit, and to tie in with it is the mass outbreak event featuring the evolution line in both Paldea and Kitakami, mass outbreaks for Pawniard and Bisharp are in both regions, while Kingambit only appear in Kitakami.
It has a Dark Tera Type, and for moves, it has Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Brick Break, and Stone Edge, and its additional moves are Snarl and Swords Dance. For scripted actions, Kingambit puts up a shield when it has 90% HP or 90% time remaining, and it uses Snarl at 90% time, and it resets player stats twice, first at 70% time, and the second at 45% time. Kingambit resets its stats at 50% HP, it uses Snarl at 40% time, and Swords Dance at 35% time.
Kingambit has Supreme Overlord for the Ability, so we don't have to deal with Defiant much like with Annihilape, and we can lower its stats. Good counters for this one are Body Press users with Iron Defense, Kommo-o, Corviknight, or Zamazenta are top counters, for this one, I used Forretress, that is because it has Lunge to lower Kingambit's Attack, Iron Defense to set up and then Body Press with the Fighting Tera Type to get in some damage on it, and I did have one player use an Alolan Persian with Charm to decrease the Attack stat of Kingambit, and Koraidon's Screech helped out.
The Dark Tera Type on Kingambit is the best for Tera Raid Battles, with Swords Dance and Kowtow Cleave, Kingambit can take out Psychic and Ghost Tera Raid opponents, and Defiant is the preferred Ability for that, Supreme Overlord is for online battles.
In Single Battles, all battles are 3 vs 3, Kingambit is better for 6 vs 6 battles where if all of its teammates are down, it can sweep with Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave. It has many coverage options in Low Kick, Stone Edge, Brick Break, X-Scissor, and many other attacks, and it has some status options in Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, and Taunt.
Kingambit can even use Tera Blast from a Flying Tera Type to deal with Fighting-types, it is one of the best Pokémon to make use of Terastallization, and it can use many different Tera Types, Fire protects it from being burned, Flying makes it resistant to Fighting while gaining an immunity to Ground, and Ghost is another option to make it immune to Fighting, Water and Fairy are some good defensive options. In Double Battles, Defiant is preferred, and Kingambit is one of the top Pokémon in Double Battles, even in Pokémon Champions, which currently does not have Terastal, Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch are its main moves, and it can either use Swords Dance to boost Attack, Iron Head for Steel-type STAB to counter Fairy-types, or Low Kick to fight opposing Kingambit or Mega Tyranitar.
I have checked Pokémon Champions Ranked Battle Data, and Kingambit is currently placed 1st for Double Battles, its Defiant gives it a free Attack boost from Intimidate, and it usually holds a Chople Berry to take at least one Fighting-type move from Sneasler or Mega Staraptor, it does have the Black Glasses as an option to boost Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch, or the Life Orb for the 30% boost to its Attacks. When the Ability to Terastallize comes to Pokémon Champions, and Kingambit was the best user of it in this game, it should be one of the best users in Pokémon Champions.
