I had uploaded the wrong video by mistake. This should be the correct one.
Something I noticed: the main menu’s “Battle” option depicts Pawmot and Absol fighting. Absol is in this game (I would know; I have an Absol on the Aurorus Team), but conspicuously, Pawmot is not. I wasn’t sure about this until I looked up Fighting-type Pokémon in a list of available Pokémon, expecting to find Pawmot there, and did not find Pawmot on the list.
I’m guessing they plan to make Pawmot available very soon, maybe as early as Season 2. Not really the most competitive Pokémon there is, but it’s far from useless. And if they got guys like Ariados and Watchog in here (I have my eye on both of them), Pawmot would definitely be fair game.

I completely reworked by strategies with Victoria (Victreebel), taking full advantage of that Mega Evolved Ability, Innards Out, by going further in on healing. At this point, it wasn’t quite all in yet, but as you can see, I put in Strength Sap to give me an increasing advantage against physical hitters while also fully healing up. Pokémon with Swords Dance might be a problem, but if it’s a one-hit knockout, that’s a lot of damage inflicted via Innards Out, like with the case with Ceruledge here. I’ll show more of Mega Victreebel in the coming videos with this team. It is one of the most matchup-dependent Mega Evolutions, like with Mega Beedrill or Mega Pidgeot.
(For the record, Strength Sap is an Egg Move Bellsprout can learn from ever since the move debuted in Sun and Moon.)

Opponent’s Pokémon: Ninetales (Alolan), Meowscarada, Charizard
This time, Victoria (Victreebel) was up against Meowscarada, who was packing a super-effective move of his own: Triple Axel, which is really good at hitting all three times. You see, Triple Axel works much like Population Bomb: each hit has its own accuracy check, at 90% accuracy. If any of them miss, Triple Axel ends. As you can see, they managed to get all three hits in with Triple Axel every time, except for the fourth instance, where the first hit missed. (There is a 72.9% chance Triple Axel reaches full power.) Of course, I already anticipated a full power Triple Axel each time. I figured Meowscarada would have a Focus Sash, and that going straight to a Sludge Bomb attack would not be enough.
My opponent was ulitmately done in by their need to ensure Mega Charizard Y always goes first, using Flame Charge coming out of not only his lower physical Attack stat, but one that’s already suffered a drop due to Strength Sap. This gave me the window I needed to take him down.
This match took me to the Ultra Ball Tier for single battles!

Opponent’s Pokémon: Dragapult, Dewalt (Tyranitar), Bolzenschuss (Basculegion) (Male)
Samantha (Toucannon) is another Pokémon who received a drastic overhaul to the stratgy. I had Choice Scarf before, but after reading up on how Beak Blast works, I swapped out the hold item for something else. Unfortunately, this is a rare Dragapult who also knew how to inflict a Burn.
I also thought I calculated Dolores’s (Basculegion’s) Speed to be higher than Dragapult’s, the benchmark I use to figure out who can outrun whom after Speed boosts, but thir Dragapult’s was still higher. This one doesn’t have a Choice Scarf considering he used Phantom Force followed by Will-O-Wisp earlier. I should look into this later.
And this match also featured Basculegion vs. Basculegion, my female one versus their male one.
