I have a couple of videos left from Season M-4 before we move on to Season M-5, which will span early August 2026 to early September 2026. The Overqwil Team had moved into the Master Ball Tier, but the Beartic Team had not—and while it doesn’t do so here, as I had to move up from the bottom of Ultra Ball Tier to do so, it will happen in the following video, “Parting-cle Man.”

Admittedly, I was taking a gamble bringing out Leonardo (Pyroar): if that Garchomp had a Choice Scarf, I would’ve been toast because while he’d stay safe for at least a turn upon switching out, Fletcher (Decidueye) was the only Pokémon I brought over not weak to Ground, and Garchomp already defeated him with Fire Fang (which was pretty unexpected). Meowscarada had the Choice Scarf instead.
Also, good to know that Leonardo (Pyroar) is a good matchup against Mega Charizard Y.

The first part of the battle went along quickly enough…and oddly, I hit a wall with Serperior of all things. This one didn’t do the usual strategy of hitting hard with Leaf Storm as it grows worse with each turn. Rather, this is a defensively-trained one focused around a Leech Seed strategy. Snow is crucial to allowing Juno (Beartic) to work, so I soon ran out of time with him and had to switch gears. Good thing the other two Pokémon I brought can both do super-effective moves on Serperior and are also defensively trained.
Yes, I was counting out the turns to make sure Juno (Beartic) stayed safe as the snow ran out.

The type considered the worst at the moment is definitely Bug. It has the least representation in the top 100 and has always been that way since the usage records were publicly available. Used to be Grass, or Poison, or Rock, or Ice. But Bug has a lot of types resisting it and not that many strengths. So I thought it interesting that my opponent had an all-Bug team out in the Ultra Ball Tier.
Well, they picked the right Pokémon here: Forretress has only one weakness, one that is easily covered by Araquanid. And Heracross, specializing in multi-hit moves when it Mega Evolves, can minimize damage done with Metal Burst (which I had mixed up with Innards Out, which adds up all the hits together). Meanwhile, Laverne (Dragalge), who resists both of Araquanid’s and Heracross’s types, is walled by Forretress. I also made the mistake of switching out Laverne (Dragalge) when I should’ve kept him in against my opponent’s Forretress.

This team can sometimes be a bit atypical in that I might pick none of the Pokémon for Mega Evolution as I don’t think I’ll need it and that the three of them are the best that the team can offer.
Would Mega Evolving have been of help here? I don’t know. But I think I went with the right strategy—though I did realize after this battle that Sludge Wave has only a 10% chance of Poison, whereas Sludge Bomb, though a less damaging attack, is much higher, at 30%.
As this Milotic had a stall strategy with Hypnosis, Recover, and Leftovers, my plan became to use Eerie Spell to run Milotic out of Recovers, though as Eerie Spell has 8 PP itself, I had to figure out carefully when to use it.

This was partially a test to see if Juno (Beartic) could outrun even Mega Alakazam, whose Speed is 150, amazingly high and enough to outrun Speed-boosted Pokémon. (Because if that in part, I am interested in using Alakazam later on.) Answer: Mega Alakazam still goes first.
This match also was very close: by the time Juno (Beartic) returned as my last Pokémon and at reduced HP from a Psychic attack from Mega Alakazam, there were only two turns of snow left and two of the opponent’s Pokémon, both of whom were faster than her when it isn’t snowing. That meant to win this, I had to knock out both of the opponent’s Pokémon in one hit each.
