So then! I went on a spree of listening to slowed down songs the other day and this is one I came across. After listening to it a bit, I began to imagine an Ateez edit that could go with it. I have wanted to try editing with kpop media again but I haven't felt the drive to actually sit down and begin a project like that. Well, here it was different.
Although, I didn't have a clear idea for this edit. Maybe that was one of the reasons why I ended up having some trouble with it at one point.
Basically, I knew that I wanted to use multiple members in it, and I also knew that I wanted multiple parts that would focus on each of these members. My first member of choice was my own favorite member from this group, or bias, Seonghwa, and then I decided to go with my best friend's favorite and also my second favorite - Yeosang, and then, finally, I went with a member who we both like, and that's San.
At first, after setting Seonghwa's clips, I was very happy with them, but upon setting effects and transitions...that slowly changed. I didn't feel like it had a good flow anymore and everything felt too random. I also began to feel frustrated at this project, especially when it wasn't adding masks when I wanted it to. I did eventually find and figure out a fix for that though. I nearly felt like giving up on this project, but then, when I calmed myself down, I tried to do something to improve the project, and from there, I finally began to enjoy it again and have a very fun time making this!
That sense of fun also continued the next day, and I tried my best to also keep a fresh mind when editing this, so the effort could maintain the same throughout, more or less. I also took a break before ending this video off so I wouldn't rush it ^^
So what I would first like to say after this is that I decided to make it so that every member's part's represents different kinds of transitions, and, since I accidentally ended up placing clips that had a ''sexy'' vibe at first, I decided to continue along with that vibe and idea ^^
There are also some new things in this video! First off, I finally downloaded rsmb for AE, so this is the first video I used that in ^^
Aaaand I also got some new overlays, which I also tried out in this edit :3
I also accidentally came across this ''color emboss'' effect and wanted to see how it looked, and when I added it, I quickly knew that I also wanted to keep it ^^
I didn't stray too too much into new territory, but yeah ^^
I actually recently felt a loss in confidence when it came to editing. I began to realize that I don't want to edit a project if it doesn't have at least something new in it. I felt as if, if I were to not do anything new in a project, it would be dull and boring, and not good enough. Since then I have tried to start reassuring myself that having stability in my style is a good thing, and I don't have to constantly try to shape my style into something new each time, because that can get confusing, I imagine.
I hope I will be able to maintain this mentality.

Actually, I first thought that I'd post an edit with new media, before this ^^
I kind of want to keep the media a surprise, but at the same time, I'm excited to tell y'all this XD

First off let's just hope that edit gets finished eventually bc currently it's stuck in AE with only trimmed clips and only one clip placed where I think it could be XD

I'm really proud of this project, tbh, and I don't have anything here that I don't like about it :3
