Rendering in 4K has been SUCH a game changer. Goodbye shitty YouTube compression!! Nothing but C R I S P pixels from here on out!!!

I tried to use a lot of scenes from other contestants' entries for the 'flashback' sequences, so credit to them where it's due! :D

If you've watched my WIP compilations/video graveyards on my backup channel you may have noticed I once tried to use these two songs (+ "The Night We Met") as part of another crossover series due to their mirrored melodies...Love Like Ghosts was one of my favourite love songs for a long time and so it was at the time I started work on this epilogue. It's definitely not anymore, I've changed too much, but it was still nice to edit with it.

Speaking of, here's a probably incomplete list of songs that I tried to edit this video with: Sloppy Seconds by Watsky (my first and originally top choice, but copyright blocked), Don't Swallow the Cap by The National ("I have only two emotions - careful fear and dead devotion"), Everybody Lost Somebody by Bleachers, Ebony Sky by Young Fathers, Young and In Love by The Homeless Gospel Choir, Time Will Tell/Champagne Coast by Blood Orange, You Only Live Once by The Strokes, The Plan (Fuck Jobs) by The Front Bottoms...Lord Huron was always in the back of my mind but one of the reasons I didn't want to go down this route (apart from wanting to avoid editing with a song I'd used before) is that I couldn't see a way to have Love Like Ghosts in there (the energy wasn't big enough for the action), but then I was like fuck it, interdimensional time! That whole between-realms thing was not in the original draft as I was trying to keep this thing from becoming more bloated than it already was. But now it feels like a very necessary bridge (heh) between Dimitri's recollection and the second half...and it probably wouldn't have existed if not for my need to put in that particular verse.

Also, the little smile + wave Vinny does at 4:38? I sent that clip as a gif in a plotting chat waaay back before Round 1 was done, and that was when I noticed that his mustache looked like the Batman logo when he smiled...and there you go, there's the nickname's origin story :)

Anyway...thank you all for your patience. There's more to come, still (there's a reason this isn't titled "Epilogue!!!" And the reason is that I am very extra!!!!!! *cackles madly and rides off into the sunset*)
