For most building scans, you need georeferenced data, whether for building orientation, overlaying with Google Maps, or positioning foundations. That’s why RTK on a scanner is essential. In this video, I’ll test the new RTK module for the Manifold Tech Pocket 2 to see whether it can fuse RTK with SLAM. This feature is critical when scanning both outdoor and indoor areas while still requiring georeferencing. In the second half of the video, we’ll also look at MiCloudX AI, the cloud platform that processes 3DGS data for free.
